Jobsrunway User Agreement

Our mission is to help students, early-career professionals, and companies connect around meaningful work opportunities. Jobsrunway provides tools to discover opportunities, connect talent with startups and employers, and support career exploration in a trusted, professional environment.

1. Introduction
1.1 Contract
When you use Jobsrunway's websites, applications, or services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to this User Agreement ("Agreement"), as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and store personal information.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, whether as an individual user, student, professional, or company representative, you enter into a legally binding contract with Jobsrunway. If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not use the Services.
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by closing your account and discontinuing use of the Services.
1.2 Services Covered
This Agreement applies to:
- Jobsrunway.com
- Jobsrunway-branded applications
- Career-matching tools, job listings, messaging features, and events
- Communications and integrations explicitly offered under this Agreement
1.3 Members and Visitors
- Members are registered users, including individuals and companies.
- Visitors may access limited features without registering.
- This Agreement applies to both.
1.4 Changes to This Agreement
Jobsrunway may modify this Agreement from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Services or by other reasonable means. Changes apply prospectively only. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
2. Obligations
2.1 Eligibility
To use Jobsrunway, you agree that:
- You meet the minimum age of 16, or older if required by applicable law
- You are legally able to enter into this Agreement
- You will provide accurate information
- You are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law
Creating accounts with false information or on behalf of others without authorization is prohibited.
2.2 Your Account
You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Not share or transfer your account
- Be responsible for activity conducted through your account
- Promptly report unauthorized use
Your account belongs to you, except where access is provided through an organization or employer, in which case limited administrative controls may apply.
2.3 Fees and Future Paid Services
Jobsrunway is currently free for both users and companies.
However, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Jobsrunway reserves the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or services in the future
- Fees may apply to users, companies, or both
- Any paid services will be clearly disclosed before purchase
- Additional terms may apply to paid offerings
- No fees will be charged retroactively.
2.4 Communications
You consent to receive service-related messages from Jobsrunway via email, in-platform notifications, or other contact methods you provide. You are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date.
2.5 Sharing and Visibility
Information you share on Jobsrunway (including profiles, job postings, messages, and content) may be viewed by others based on your settings and the nature of the feature.
Jobsrunway does not guarantee distribution, visibility, or storage of any content and may remove content that violates this Agreement or applicable law.
3. Rights and Limits
3.1 Your Content License
You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content on Jobsrunway, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating and improving the Services.
This license ends when you delete content or close your account, except where retention is required by law or content has already been shared with others.
3.2 Service Availability
Jobsrunway may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We are not a storage service and do not guarantee long-term retention of content.
3.3 Third-Party Content and Opportunities
Jobsrunway may facilitate connections between users and companies but:
- Does not act as an employer, recruiter, or employment agency
- Does not guarantee job offers, hiring outcomes, or opportunity accuracy
- Is not responsible for third-party actions, listings, or communications
- Engagements between users and companies occur at their own discretion and risk.
3.4 Limits on Use
Jobsrunway may limit usage, features, or access and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement or misuse the Services.
3.5 Intellectual Property
Jobsrunway retains all rights to its platform, branding, software, and content not owned by users. Unauthorized use of Jobsrunway trademarks, logos, or technology is prohibited.
4. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
4.1 No Warranty
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." JOBSRUNWAY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
4.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBSRUNWAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES.
TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- FEES PAID TO JOBSRUNWAY IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS (IF ANY), OR
- USD $1,000
5. Termination
You or Jobsrunway may terminate this Agreement at any time. Upon termination, access to the Services ends. Certain sections, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive termination.
6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by law.
7. General Terms
- This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Jobsrunway
- Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our rights
- You may not assign this Agreement without consent
- Jobsrunway may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale
8. Jobsrunway Dos and Don'ts
You agree to:
- Comply with applicable laws
- Provide accurate information
- Use the Services professionally
You agree not to:
- Create false accounts or impersonate others
- Scrape or harvest data
- Circumvent platform security
- Post unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, or infringing content
- Misuse automation or bots
9. Complaints Regarding Content
If you believe content violates your rights or this Agreement, contact us. We may remove content or restrict accounts as reasonably necessary.
